ABOUT 3D
READING & LEARNING
What is 3D Reading and Learning about?
3D Reading and Learning is a nonprofit created with the goal in mind that every student who needs professional, research-proven help building cognitive, processing and academic skills can get it. We do this by offering online teaching, always looking to serve each student individually. It's in the name actually, three Ds: first, determine the need of the student. Second, develop a plan for success. Third, discover the possibilities!
What programs do you use?
The main program we use is called Equipping Minds. Equipping Minds isn't just one method; it's actually the product of one woman's quest to bring together every useful therapy and strategy that helped her son, Clayton, completely overcome his diagnosis with a language disorder, going on to become a successful writer and speaker. All by playing fun games and activities that don't feel like school work.
To quote their site, "The Equipping Minds Cognitive Development Curriculum [addresses] the cognitive skills which are the foundational tools for learning. Equipping Minds is designed to improve a learner’s working memory, visual and auditory processing, attention, processing speed, logic, comprehension, language, social skills, attention, executive functioning, behavior, and self-regulation."
What learning difficulties, conditions, disabilities, or disorders is Equipping Minds helpful for?
Quoting EM's website again: "We use the program with a variety of individuals of all ages and abilities with great success. The program is designed to help any individual wanting to strengthen their ability to learn. This includes: Autism Spectrum, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Gifted, Learning Challenges, ADD/ADHD, Traumatic Brain Injury, Memory, Comprehension, Down Syndrome, Processing Disorders, Dementia, Executive Functioning, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Communication Disorders, and Neurodevelopment Disorders."
But what ages can 3D Reading and Learning & Equpping Minds help?
Equipping Minds has students from 3 years old to adults who are 90 years of age who use the program.
In short, there really is something in the program to help anyone improve. It's not a magic pill; every student will take time to start showing results, anywhere from several days to several months. But just like lifting weights, the strengths and the confidence come.
What will the sessions look like?
In thirty minute online sessions, four times a week, each student will play research-proven games and activities adapted to their abilities and age. Most students don't even feel like it is intervention because they're just having fun (in fact, making sure its fun is one of the guidelines of the program). The teacher will work together with students and parents to address their individual needs and reach their goals and dreams.
How much does 3D Learning teaching cost?
It's very important to us that every student gets the personalized, professional help they need, so we are one of the most inexpensive cognitive and reading services while also offering payment plans and limited scholarships. We are also a Utah Fits All vendor and are working on becoming a Harmony vendor. Monthly tuition is $250 for about 18 sessions (half off for December), but anyone who signs up for a full fall or winter season gets a discount, and if you would like to sign up for a full year the discount is even higher. Click here for more information on our sign-up form: https://forms.gle/cj8RpY7XoCzvbWkb8
Our team donates a lot of time and effort in keeping the program running as well. Again, if you don't feel you can afford this, we're a nonprofit for a reason. We have a scholarship fund, that you can apply for easily in the scholarship tab up above.
Still have questions?
You can call/text 801-210-1644, email any of our team below or just fill out the sign-up form and wait for a call back. Either way, we'll get back to you within 24-48 hours. We're looking forward to working with you!
